Win free entrance and sponsorship to attend Tokyo Game Show 2010!

Foreigners living in japan or planning to go Japan this september, you're in luck! Tokyo Game Show this year is organising an official Cosplay competition( Cosplay Grand Prix) and would like to extend their invite to the rest of the world!

To encourage foreign participation and interaction, the Cosgroove team (promotion and marketing team for the cosplay sector, i think) have 2 exciting freebie for you!

Package A: free Admission

if you're a foreigner going to Japan or living in Japan you qualify for this. If you get selected, you and your selected companion gets a free admission each for 18th Sept - 19th Sept. This free admission is available only for the first 300 applicant. There are numerous way to apply, just follow the application instructions below.

Package B: Cash allowance

Eligibility requirements are the same as above. To further encourage global Cosplay interaction, Tokyo Game Show 2010 is sponsoring you cash allowances ranging from US$100 - US$500!

Winners will be picked via lucky draw and only open to those who registered beforehand. I have no idea how many winners will be picked in total, but if you’re going TGS anyway. Then just join for the chance of the extra cash =)  Just show your intention of going to Japan and email a photograph of yourself cosplaying. Application instructions below.

• Prizewinners will be contacted within 24hours about the amount of cash sponsorship and other information.
• Cash prizes will be given out on 18th September at the event itself in Yen.
  
  

Cosplay Grand prix (Cosplay Competition)

The "TGS Cosplay Grand Prix" will be held on September 18 (Sat), the first of the Public Days. In this event, the Grand Prix and other prizes will be awarded to cosplayer entrants, judged by visitors and special judges.

• Only Games related cosplays allowed
• More detailed information, including on how to enter, will be continuously updated on the official website.
• The TGS Cosplay Grand Prix will be held on September 18 (Sat). Please note that it will NOT be held on September 19 (Sun).

Via Twitter

Follow [tgs_cosgroove] and tweet your will of entry at [#tsg_cosgroove] and send a jpg file of yourself. After that, tgs_cosgroove will send you a message from twitter which  you should reply to. Including the followings information.

1. Name:
2. Nationality:
3. Starting point or airport:
4. Cosplay name:
5. Pictures of your cosplays or website with your photos:

In the event where you are the first 300 applicant for Package A, they will require the following information from you.

• Whether you have a companion or not  (+ 1 only)
• Your companion’s name if applicable.
• Relationship with applicant (ex. family/friend/cosplay companion)
• Indicate your interest (or lack of) to join the Cosplay Grand Prix
• 2 jpg photographs to identify your face and body (O_o””)
